Founded in 1995, Co-operative Bank's Card Centre have been a leading issuer of Visa branded credit cards in Kenya. The 'Co-op Card' as it is popularly known, can be used to purchase goods and services at any of the Visa merchant outlets in Kenya and abroad.

The three credit cards currently issued by the Centre are:

Co-op Local Visa card
Co-op International Classic card
Co-op Gold Visa card

Co-op Card Local Visa
The card allows you convenience of settling bills such as hospital, legal, air tickets, restaurants, etc, without the risk of carrying hard cash.

After spending, the card offers a credit free period of 45 days before payment is due and at that time the customer has the option of paying full amount due or only 10% of the total spent or Ksh.2,000/= whichever is greater.
The card allows the customer to a cash advance equivalent to 10% of the marked limit through any Visa branded outlets.
It allows a cash advance equivalent to Ksh.10,000= per day, but not exceeding 50% of total limit.
The Card has an upper credit limit of Kshs.50,000.

Co-op Card International Visa Classic
In addition to the advantages enjoyed by Local Classic cardholders, those with International Classic enjoy a higher limit of up to Ksh. 274,000 and they can use their card worldwide wherever they see a Visa branded outlet.

It allows a cash advance equivalent to Ksh.20,000= per day (If credit is available).

Co-op Card Gold Visa
This is a premium credit card. In addition to all the facilities enjoyed by Local and International Card holders, Gold Card International has the following added advantages:

Visa International also does negotiate special discounts for Gold Cardholders with the Airlines, hotels, and hospitals.
Can be used to settle payments abroad.
Free entrance to JKIA VIP lounges.
It gives the holder an International standing and prestige.
The card amount is above Ksh.275,000=.
Cash advance of upto Ksh.50,000 per day (if credit is available).
