Are you a talented engineer with experience in Core Banking Systems? We are looking for a highly skilled Finacle Support Engineer to join our dynamic team. This role involves the implementation, support, and ongoing maintenance of the Finacle CBS (Core Banking Solution) across Head Office departments and Branches. You will play a key role in ensuring the smooth operation and optimal performance of our banking systems, working closely with various stakeholders and technology teams to deliver seamless banking services.
Reporting to the Business Systems Support Manager, the Finacle Support Engineer will be responsible for the effective configuration, testing, and maintenance of the Finacle CBS across all locations. This includes ensuring that the system meets business and user requirements, maintains a high level of performance and uptime, and is regularly patched and updated to comply with defined standards.
The role
The successful jobholder will be expected to:
- Provide L2/L3 support for the Finacle CBS.
- Monitor system performance and availability to ensure optimal uptime.
- Diagnose, troubleshoot and resolve incidents within defined SLA.
- Configure and customize the system according to business and user needs.
- Handle user queries and functional issues from branches and departments.
- Coordinate with vendors for system support and timely issue resolution.
- Maintain operational documentation, change logs, run books, and knowledge base articles.
- Conduct regular patching, upgrades, and version control across all environments.
- Ensure compliance with security standards.
- Deploy patches, parameter changes, and configuration updates as scheduled.
- Support integrations with various channels and peripheral systems.
- Provide support to assigned projects and initiatives.
- Guide, upskill and mentor fellow team members.
Qualifications, Skills & Attributes
The successful jobholder will be required to possess the following qualifications:
- A Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science or a related field.
- At least 5 years of experience supporting and using Banking Applications.
- Proven hands-on experience with all Finacle CBS version 10x/11x modules.
- Finacle 10x/11x functional and technical training.
- Expertise in Unix Operating Systems (AIX, RHEL, Solaris).
- Experience with Java Application Servers (WebSphere, WebLogic, JBoss).
- Proficiency in Oracle RDBMS Administration, as well as SQL and PL/SQL scripting.
- Good analytical and troubleshooting skills.
- ITIL Certification and Project Management skills.
- Expertise in business requirements documentation and design thinking methodologies.
- Strong business relationship and stakeholder management skills.
- Excellent communication and influencing abilities.
- Proven ability to plan and prioritize effectively.
- Results-oriented with a focus on continuous improvement.
