Our client, a non-withdrawable deposit-taking SACCO based in Nairobi, is seeking to recruit a motivated and resourceful individual to join its team as a Business Development Officer.

BUSINESS DEVELOPMENT OFFICER

REF: CBI/BDO/08/26

Reporting to the Chief Executive Officer, the successful candidate will play a key role in supporting the SACCO’s growth through business development initiatives. This role is suited to an enterprising individual who thrives on building relationships and delivering outcomes for lasting impact.

Responsibilities:

• Fostering strong relationships with existing members towards strengthening member loyalty
• Identify and pursue partnerships and growth initiatives to expand Sacco’s membership.
• Conduct market research and competitor analysis to identify growth opportunities and stay informed of market trends.
• Collaborate with colleagues to develop and implement strategies that drive deposit mobilization and loan book growth.
• Develop and execute marketing campaigns across both digital and traditional channels to enhance visibility.
• Develop and deliver impactful content aligned with strategic priorities to enhance member experiences across digital channels
• Contribute to the maintenance of brand consistency across all communication channels.
• Measure and analyze the performance of marketing campaigns and initiatives 
• Provide regular and timely reports and updates with recommendations to senior management.
• Design annual member education programs in liaison with the CEO and relevant Board committees to enhance member engagement and financial literacy

Qualifications and Experience:

• Hold a diploma in marketing, communications, or related field, a Bachelor’s degree and professional qualification would be an added advantage
• Have at least 3 years of experience in marketing and business development within the Sacco or financial services sector with a proven track record of driving growth and success.
