Our client, a Regulated Medium-Sized Deposit Taking Sacco based in Nairobi is urgently seeking to recruit a qualified, experienced, and highly motivated ICT Systems Officer to join their team.
Reports To: Chief Executive Officer (CEO)
Key Responsibilities
- Managing and maintaining the SACCO’s ICT infrastructure, networks, servers, and applications.
- Providing technical support to users and ensuring minimal system downtime.
- Administering the Core Banking/SACCO Management System and related digital platforms.
- Monitoring system performance and implementing improvements.
- Managing ICT security, access controls, backups, and disaster recovery procedures.
- Maintaining network equipment, firewalls, routers, switches, and internet connectivity.
- Ensuring data integrity, confidentiality, and compliance with ICT policies.
- Coordinating software upgrades, installations, and system integrations.
- Maintaining ICT asset inventory and software licenses.
- Supporting mobile banking, internet banking, ATM, and agency banking platforms.
- Preparing ICT reports and recommendations for management.
- Training staff on ICT systems and emerging technologies.
- Perform any other duties as assigned by the Chief Executive Officer.
Qualifications & Experience
- Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Information Systems, or a related field.
- Professional ICT certifications such as CCNA, CCNP, CISA, CISM, CEH, CompTIA Security+, Microsoft, or related certifications will be an added advantage.
- Minimum of three (3) years’ relevant work experience in ICT systems administration, networking, or ICT support, preferably within a SACCO, microfinance institution, or banking environment.
- Experience in managing Core Banking/SACCO Management Systems.
- Knowledge of network administration, cybersecurity, database management, and system administration.
- Experience in disaster recovery planning and data backup management.
